Catedral de Cuenca

During my recent trip to Cuenca, Spain I was able to visit my first every Cathedral and it was so beautiful!

A little about this Cathedral is that it’s one of the first Cathedrals to be built in Spain. It was constructed in 1182 and it became consecrated in the year 1208. It officially received the name of Cathedral of Santa Maria and San Julián.

There is a main area with two big altars and then there are also chapels along the perimeter of the inside of the Cathedral.

This post is going to mainly be a photo gallery of this beautiful Cathedral – I fell in love with the ceilings so be prepared for a lot of pictures of the high vaulted ceilings!

I hope you enjoy!
